The Burton Batman, 30 years later. Easy to use it as either a jumping off point for a DKR story that is actually an epilogue instead of a misguided attempt to start a cinematic universe... or a Batman Beyond story.

I don't have a preference, just don't put him in an old man Bruce mentor position ala Batman Beyond.

Looks were then, and still are apparently, deceiving. The reaction to him getting the role in the first place was panned at the time as he was seen mostly as a goofy comedic actor. He proved everyone wrong though. There's nothing dweebish about his Batman, that's for sure.

honestly I wouldn't, but if we must, i'd rather he just be an older version of his Bruce and out of the way. I have no interest in some inflated role for Keaton's Batman so we can pump up the nostalgia feels.

I'd like to see him as an older Bruce Wayne who's still active as Batman. No mentoring, just pure Batman.

It doesn't have to tie into THE BATMAN at all, just a different interpretation.

Keaton always played second fiddle to the villains of his movies. Hell in Batman Returns, His role in the film was basically being Catwomans love interest.

I felt short-changed with both Burton movies having Michael Keaton so little on screen. He was my favourite part of both those movies. I recall there was some negotiation to get him to agree to second billing on BATMAN (1989), as Jack Nicholson got top billing. By that time, Keaton had top billing on his movies.

He doesn't get a lot of screentime in the Burton movies, but it's effective for the vision of the character who is more "shadowy" and withdrawn. He's definitely the most "mysterious" Batman.
