I was thinking about this lately.
1950s: Okay, I wasn't old enough to consciously remember anything from that era. Looking back now, I would say "The Honeymooners" warts and all.
1960s: Many wonderful shows but, then and now, there's no contest. It's "The Wild Wild West".
1970s: At the end of the '70s, I would have said "The Incredible Hulk" but, despite having a great actor in the role of Banner, it's too formulaic. Nowadays, I would say "The Six Million Dollar Man" with "The Bionic Woman" pretty much equal.
1980s: This is a tough one because I wasn't watching much television in that era. There were some great shows. I'm sure there are ones I'm forgetting so it's hard to latch onto a show that stands out totally from the rest. There was this show called "Werewolf" in the fall of 1987 in the first season of the Fox Network. It only lasted one season and I'm tempted to name it but for shows that had any duration, I would have to say Star Trek: the Next Generation.
1990s: This was my favorite era. Television was developing subplots but without becoming total soap operas. Plus it was maybe the best era ever for syndicated fantasy shows starting with Hercules, then Xena along with the Beast Master show and the Lost World show. I loved them all but I would list "Hercules the Legendary Journeys" as my favorite.
00s: Well, since Beast Master and the Lost World were mostly after 2000, I'll list the Lost World as my favorite.
10s: I started out loving "Once Upon A Time". Like most shows I like, I got enough momentum going to carry me through to the end though I wasn't as enthusiastic by then. I would probably have to say "The Flash" but there's nothing so far I feel really stands out as truly my favorite.
My favorite show of all-time would be Hercules. Again, I feel it was in this middle era between the shows of my childhood and more current shows and captured the best qualities of both without the worst of both.

50s - I Love Lucy, The Twilight Zone
60s - Star Trek: TOS, Batman
70s - I don't really have many shows that I've watched from this decade. I did like Happy Days though.

10s:
- Stranger Things
- Game of Thrones (before it went to ****)
- Pose
I haven't watched any shows put out before the 80's since the 80's so I don't think I can rate those really. Star Trek would get my #1 in the 60's but after that I wouldn't even be sure if what decade it came from.
For the ones that straddled decades I made my choice by convenience as I wanted it on my list somewhere and it filled a spot better there.
80's: Wiseguy, The A-Team, and Knight Rider. Wiseguy still holds up fairly well but the other two are cringy - I was a teen and there weren't a lot of options.
90's: The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Farscape
2000's: Angel, Alias, Lost
2010's: Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Daredevil
2010's was tough. Stranger Things, Jessica Jones, Orphan Black, Breaking Bad, and many others were much stronger candidates than some of my other decade choices.
What a fun idea for a thread, I'll do my best to play along.
