Default Pick one solo character to get a movie with a catch

Can't be a regular Justice League (namely the big 7) or Teen Titans member, can't be a team film (so no JSA film), and can't be a sidekick or supporting character or otherwise dependant on another hero so no Batgirl film for example.

So which hero that's left should have a movie?

    The Silencer.

Basically, John Wick is a mother of one, happily married. And she'll do everything in her power so things stay that way. Everything.

    The Warlord

Starts off as a period piece showing Travis Morgan as a fighter pilot in Vietnam (complete w. obligatory “Fortunate Son” musical reference) and segues into him flying through a dimensional rift into Skartaris. Kick ass, rousing Sword & Sorcery adventure complete w. dinosaurs, gladiator fights, sweeping battle scenes and liberal use of a .44 automag ensues, ending w. Morgan finding a way out of Skartaris, and deciding wether or not to stay.

I actually thought of The Warlord as a movie while watching 2017’s Kong: Skull Island.

Static or Nightshade. The former can easily be made into a film and his powers, family life and school life could be handled well. While the latter doesn't have much history as a solo member, she has some things that could make for a good solo story like her missing brother.

Nobody's attempted a proper action-horror superhero flick since Blade. The Ragman's time has come!

    Manhunter.

Paul Kirk waking up in the 70’s being played as a twisted version of Captain America’s revival, with the Council as an evil SHIELD.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

    Hawkgirl

    Here's how I'd do it.

Kendra Saunders is a grad student living and studying at St. Roch. But she has weird dreams about flying and an alien world. Then, when she hears rumors of an alien shapeshifter, she decides to investigate and discovers her advanced combat skills. And eventually, she discovers that she can sprout wings and fly. Over time, she discovers that she's a deep-cover Thanagarian agent named Shayera Hol, who had her memories wiped and was placed on earth as a sleeper. The shapeshift Byth is a Thanagarian criminal who, as it turns out, killed her husband Katar Hol on Thanagar.

Carter Hall will be a supporting character, as a professor at the university where Kendra studies/works.

    Bloodwynd
    Zatarra
    Deadman
Blackout (the Pakistani kid from Flashpoint)
    Bumblebee
    Dr.Light (kimoyo hoshi)
    Brimstone
    Hourman
    Dr.Midnite
    The Question
    Neon the Unknown
    Firebrand (from the Unexpected)
    Longshadow
    Wind Dragon
    The Wonder Twins

    Bonus-
Simon Baz as Airwave instead of GL5.
Or Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz as the modern day versions of Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

A common screenwriting excersize is to pick a minor supporting character and figure out what their movie would be like. A famous example is Better Call Saul.

Screw the traditional fan hierarchy nonsense- pick a character you like and would like to be used more/better and just go do it.

How cool would it be to see a movie about a physically strong Asian woman working as a bouncer who finds out that she descends from Amazons. That would be cool to see how someone who would likely be a street level vigilante discovers her Amazonian roots.
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
    Words to live by.
