I agree there's a lot to unpack and explore with that development but I don't think it's something that particularly relevant to Superman/Supergirl. If anything it seems like more of a story you'd tell with Batgirl.

As to Superman/Supergirl and Batman/Batgirl, I think you could do it with either, but Superman is more high profile and universally adored by the public within the DCU so you could explore how the media treats women differently than their male counterparts a little better.

Yeah, but I think Supergirl getting acclimated the Earth society and reeling from losing Krypton and having only one member of her family left who's so busy being Superman is more relevant to her character then people not giving her as much credit as they give Clark.
