Default Cover Contest 1 July 2020 to 7 July 2020: A Nice "Image"

Instead of one of the specific-theme contests, this week let's have one of the more nearly wide-open contests. The contest this week is to post a cover by any artist, on any subject, so long as it's a cover from an Image comic (or collection, or graphic novel). As a template, here's Tomm Coker's cover art for the Image comic Black Monday Murders #5:

    The usual RULES apply:
    1) Post One (& ONLY ONE) Cover that fits the theme of this Week's Contest!
    2) Cover must be from a Published Comic Book, Graphic Novel, or Collected Volume!
    3) Covers must be Posted before Voting Begins!
    4) Voting Begins 12 AM Tuesday PDT and Runs Until 12 AM Wednesday PDT (3 AM EDT)! (This is in US time)
    5) Vote by Posting the name in BOLD of the Poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most! A vote need not be in bold, but it does make it easier to Count-The-Votes!
    6) The Winner of the Contest is the Entry with the MOST Votes after the Voting-Period!
    7) It's Okay to Discuss the Covers but if you Think Someone's Entry Doesn't Fit the Theme or Violates the Rules, you Don't need to Argue it in the thread, Simply Don't Vote for It!
    8) Plus: Occasionally Voting will Result in a Tie! The Person Who Started the Thread will do the Counting that Week will Usually call for a TIE-Breaking --Vote from Someone who has Not Yet Voted!
    9) AFTER the Tie-Breaker Vote, Voting Ends and the Winner is Declared by The One Who Started the Thread (or assigned surrogate) and Thus will do the Counting.
    10) HAVE FUN!

Since this week you can pick pretty much anything (so long as it's Image), there should be a really wide variety of choices. I hope you enjoy it.

Do imprints (like Top Cow) count?

Congratulations to Javasaurus for an entry which certainly displayed a powerful image with combinations of all sorts of items. That was a weak sentence, but since there wasn't any way I could come up with the words to adequately describe that picture, I might as well lose big. Might be worth looking into trade collecting that series.

As to the week's peak of the week where the captain goes on about what he's learned from this week's contest, he thought he had a pretty good of idea of what Image was about but the variety of covers has shown him that the company easily has a wider variety of offerings than the big two. And I'm an old-school super-hero guy. Image may not be for when you "out grow" capes, but it provides a place where your expanding tastes can be satiated.

And thanks to Paul Bullion for the vote.

When I picked the subject of this contest, I was hoping that at least one person would draw that conclusion from the broad-ranging selection of covers that I expected would be posted. It's always nice to learn more about what all is out there, in the amazing world of funny books.
