Maybe Lizard just needs a role model. Do we even have any lizard-based superheroes at all? I think its high time!

Because Peter and MJ were married when I started reading, that'll always be my major preference.

However, I do think Komodo would be an incredible addition to the Spidey cast, especially as a potential romantic partner for either Pete or Flash.

You were Spider-Man then. You and Peter had agreed on it. But he came back right when you started feeling comfortable.

The current status quo isn't bad with Martha and Billy being alive again but having to also be reptile people
Haha this cannot be real. I am so glad I finally gave up these comics.

Wasn't Komodo like a teenager? So no thanks on pairing her up with any adult men.

I don't recall if it was ever explicitly stated.

Obviously I wouldn't want anything creepy -- age her up if need be. It's not like there's tons of history for the character in the first place.

    Yes to both!

But personally, I'd like to see Ace Spencer return as a lizard guy. Maybe he could fall into a giant vat of radioactive lizard food or something, while working the night shift at a pet food factory.

Has there been any story that has specifically dealt with the issue of the multitude of physical mutations that the Lizard has undergone over the years? We've come a long way from the gaping humanoid of his first story. Maybe there could be a story about the Lizard becoming some sort of walking reptilian evolutionary horror, some creature whose DNA has no way of permanently stabilizing. Due to the admixture with Connors, maybe the character could sometimes take on the characteristics of therapsids, ancient proto-mammals that lived beside dinosaurs.

I admit I am unfamiliar with Komodo ( She was a Dan Slott creation and I stopped following comics after Silk), so I have two questions? 1: Why would she make a great partner for Pete or Flash? 2: Is there the need for yet another Spider-Man character. It is almost becoming like Batman family.

I think a better title for this thread would be "is Lizard a limited character?".

Komodo was an amputee who used the Lizard serum to get back her legs. She could be a good foil for Flash as he does the same thing with the symbiote. I think she was a college student when she debuted. If she's a high school student just put her with Miles.

None of what I'm suggesting is meant to be romantic.

Also, Komodo debuted quite a bit before Silk in the pages of Avengers: the Initiative, an extremely well-written (and illustrated) comic book.

The Initiative was so good and I was sad to see it go.

I miss Trauma and Cloud 9.
