Default Best 80s Comic Book Run

How would you rank these 80s Marvel runs ?

Make a list and let me know if I missed any run that you think should be here.

The Top 5 will later compete against DC's Top 5.

The only two I revisit are Simonson's Thor and Miller's Daredevil. The rest have either lost their appeal to me or never appealed to me to begin with.

    Runs I would add

    -Stern's Doctor Strange
-Starlin's Metamorphosis Odyssey/Dreadstar (if you are including the Epic imprint)
-Doug Moench's Master of Kubg Fu (continued into the early 80s after starting in the 70s)

    -M

Possibly Miller just because of what he did to the character and the road he went down with him.

I’d also add Moench on Moon Knight...a little underrrated run if you ask me.

Some great runs in the 80s.

Loved simon furman's run on transformers also. Larry hama's gijoe run had some great stories also for over 155 issues.

This was truly a rich decade that practically anyone could make a case for anything.

would you all consider claremont new mutants(especially with part of his x-men run or separate. bill sienkiewicz issues seems to be the new mutants peak.

I voted Miller's Daredevil, the; break the hero, take everything away from them, see what emerges is one of the most compelling, solid arcs.
For pure joy reading, I could have easily gone X-Men
However I agree these are worthy additions to the poll.

All though a huge part of the draw in those last two was Sinkovich alone.

Not at all. Looking back on it now everyone loves the art he did on the book, but it was not really that well received at first on the book because it was such a jarring change in style. New Mutants was Claremonts baby. He created them from scratch and wrote over half the original run. To try and diminish that he was the driving force on that book is just wrong. This was never Sienkiewicz's book. It was always Claremonts with Sienkiewicz on art.
