So would I.
Why do you have to try to protect Jean as if she were a virgin teenager and not an adult woman who fucks who she wants?
So, this is what peaceful coexistence looks now to Krakoa: war crimes and genocide for the greater good of the country...
How progressive.
3/5.
Solid issue.
The moral bankruptcy of the X-Men is well engaged now.
Krakoa needs to disband that specific team of X-Force and trial its leaders and the ones supervising them if it wants to even pretend at a form of justice and morality here.
See how well mutant justice works there...
Go to the UN and compensate in full the Verdeans for the killing of their people, the sabotaging of their technologies, the destruction of their country and the ruination of their future.
Telefloronic was their ticket out of poverty, remember?
Can Krakoa do that, clean up the miserable mess made by their people?
And some posters around here say they have the moral superiority over the sapiens, when they are pulling the exact same bs once left the opportunity.
Greed.
Arrogance.
Fear.
Mutants are humans, able to do the best and the worst things possible. In case people needed a reminder.
"The means are as important as the end - we have to do this right or not at all.
Anything less negates every belief we've ever had, every sacrifice we've ever made."
"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
"No justice, no peace."
So...is there going to be the exact same "jogan" conversations here as in the Jean Grey thread? Just asking so I'd know to avoid this thread for the next day or two.
And...if so, might I suggest cut and paste from that other thread...it will save a lot of time and angst.
With respect to the issue in hand...
Beast ish aside I was hoping for some major badassery from Black Tom...not that what occurred in-story wasn't satisfying it was, very, but in my head after reading XF 09...it played out differently.
Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
#9 ended like Black Tom was gonna do something lone bad-ass this issue but meh.
First half was a slow burn with Cassara art but things picked up when Domino got caught and Jean exposed Beast's bullshit. I feel some earlier stuff could've been curtailed to expand on what Beast did or Jean's feat but we got a competent issue in the end.
7.5/10 - didn't waste the data page on a ****ing Glob recipe.
"Cable was right!"
Or Africa. Or India. Or South and Central America. Oh, and let's add the native populations in Australia and the US while we're at it.
But that's the point; it isn't superior, but it isn't inferior either, it's doing what any other nation ever did.
