Default What are the best current Marvel runs?

Hey guys! I haven't read anything new from Marvel in probably close to 6 or 7 years. Has there been anything in that time that is great that I should check out? Something in the same vein as Brubakers Captain America, Bendis Daredevil? I am even interested in any Marvel events if they are worth while? I heard some good things about Hickmans Xmen books but honestly I am not a huge fan of his work.

    Any recommendations are appreciated.

Chip Zdarsky's Daredevil run, also his Life Story, and Spectacular Spider-Man runs.

Jason Aaron's run on The Mighty Thor.

I'll echo Zdarsky's Daredevil as well as his Spider-Man work.

Immortal Hulk is really good, but I'm not generally a Hulk fan, so your opinion may vary.

Echoing Zdarksy Daredevil. And I think Kelly Thompson's Captain Marvel is excellent. And another underrated series was Dennis Hallums Spider-Woman.

Another vote for Zdarsky's DAREDEVIL. I'd also have to include Ewing's IMMORTAL HULK (although I'm not normally a HULK fan). Zdarsky's INVADERS was also excellent

As someone who is generally bored to death by Jonathan Hickman's work I'll say that his X-Men has made for a very entertaining read. It's a lot to take in, but for me at least my familiarity with the X-Men in general makes it more palatable. More so than his Avengers or Fantastic Four runs, which I had no previous attachment towards.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

    Immortal X-Men - Once & Future- X-Cellent - X-Men: Red

    Best at the moment?
Immortal Hulk by Ewing/Bennett and others.
X-Men by Hickman and co. (only reading main title but other DoX books may be worth reading)
    Daredevil by Zdarsky/Checchetto and others.
    Venom by Cates/Stegman and others.

    For recent runs?
    Fraction and Ajas Hawkeye.
    Tom Kings/Waltas Vision.
    Jason Aaron’s Thor
I really enjoyed Greg Ruckas run on Punisher. It’s a little underrated imo, but is a great read.
    Spencer on Ant-Man.

Immortal Hulk and Daredevil are both Eisner nominated this year for best continuing series .....along with the Doctor Doom solo for best new series. So you might want to try that too when it comes back in September. If you have Marvel Unlimited you can try out the first 4 o 5 issues there.

    Fantastic Four.
    Black Cat.
    Avengers.

I would agree with much of what has been said with particular call outs to:

    Zdarsky's Daredevil
    Hickman's X-Men

And, though it was a little while ago, King's Vision limited series may be my favorite story in comics that isn't Born Again.

Immortal Hulk hands down. Spider-Man is second.

Zdarsky's Daredevil, start from the beginning, I found myself completely hooked after a few issues. It is my favourite run currently.

    Brisson's Ghostrider is really good!

I have also been enjoying Mark Waid's Dr. Strange run, finally there is a new Wolverine series, it's been interrupted as a result of COVID19, but it shows some promise.
