she just said her opinion and seems like she was right, he was gay.

Actually the thread is about whose writer is better.
This outing fits in the "Bendis not greatest moment in comic history" category. I say that yet I don't hate the writer or the run. For me, it's just confirming that soap/TV series aspect of his run.

No, she was rude and, as Kingdom said, forced him. You might like the pink form or the feats from Bendis, but that's not a good moment.

But what message does that send to young readers? “If you think your friend is gay force them to have a private conversation with you about it and then tell them how they should identify.”

Actually it’s more like, “Read your friends private texts to confirm they’re queer and then corner them.”

I don't think it is right, but it isn't a big deal for me

I think most young peopel want to talk about it to help. of course that Bendis wrote it on a humorou tone, that was completely wrong

It never passed on my mind that entering their privacity would be right

Jean was in the wrong at the end of the day it wasn't her business to begin with, and if you can read his mind you can read the fact he wasn't ready. It was horribly written and had no build up what so ever, and Bendis had loads of time for build up he just never did anything with it.

For me personally I dislike both, But if I have to pick the one I can put up with more then it has to be CC... ohh CC not on the list.

I cant recall any of his stories I read where I was blown away but when I think of that DoX issue where the xmen went on the suicide mission I was filled with emotion. Also how he has tied so much of established canon into his works goes beyond anything Bendis did with his revolutionary cyclops story of bringing the O5 to the future all of which I found to br dreadful. Therefore, I'm not surprised that Hickman is eclipsing Bendis in the poll.
This, all of this. I don't hate Bendis, I loved reading him on Ultimate Spider Man. I liked him on X-Men... to start. Over time he started to lose steam and it got pretty bad. Battle of the Atom is garbage, the 05 was an interesting idea with a lot of potential but lasted way past its expiration date and was entirely too focused on Jean (I don't mind her being the main character but why bring 5 if 3.5 of them don't matter). I actually think his Uncanny run started out strong but squandered its potential and went nowhere.

Hickman by comparison started out much stronger, his attention has much less individual focus but the overall story is significantly better. It remains to be seen if he can stick the landing but he gets a lot of credit with me for 2 key reasons so far
    1) No hint of schism, that **** story is largely not even referenced, the X-Men are united and aren't keeping half the franchise as hypocritical unlikable dicks (in my opinion) to preserve a status quo no one likes.
    2) Commitment to change the torture porn culture, the stakes are high but its not a depressing nightmare causing precogs to commit suicide out of despair.

    hahaha!

I mean, no one can write X-Men like Lord Claremont, but that wasn't the question!

Even Chris Claremont can't write like Lord Claremont now.

Hickman. His story actually progress and things change. Bendis has the pitfalls of to much dialogue and little momentum. I did like revolutionary Cyclops though and Emma’s black costume was dope.
    You brought back Wolverine

The CBR Community Standards a.k.a how to get along.

Claremont's recent one-shots (The X-terminated back story, X-Men: Black and New Mutants) were pretty much the best X-Men comics we had in the pre-Hickman era though!

LC was great but CC nope, I feel like Hickman is copying LC but instead is doing CC things.
As for Bendis editorial might have play a big part on his run. I did like what he had going but then floop at the end.
So if I have to put up with bad writing i go with cc.

my vote both are equal, some good stuff but some bad stuff too.

Claremont's original run, his NM run, and X-Treme firmly place him in the best X-writer of all time spot, not to mention his Wolverine and Excalibur stuff.

I think Morrison's run is a distant second.

Hickman is closing in on Morrison quickly, but it's still too early to say. Morrison's run did fumble and go out in a whimper, but it was still very strong overall. Hickman's done some great stuff so far, but a few of his issues have been actual stinkers, so, it really depends on how things develop from here and the conclusion.

I guess Lobdell gets the next spot, but only for the strength of Generation NeXt/early Generation X. His mainline X-Men stuff was pretty weak, overall, but I will give him props for that Illyana issue.

Bendis is fighting with the likes of Austin, Guggenheim, and Aaron for one of the worst runs.
