    HickMan no contest.

BUT. Bendis has the good idea of bringing the 05 to the present and make Jean relatable and enjoyable again. thus making Xmen red posible by proxy.

Also "New Old Jean" is more fun than MomPantsFaintJean

Considering Bendis is the worst X-writer of all time, (yes, I've read Austen's run) it's obviously Hickman.

I was aware of Bendis' run but it took Hickman's run to get me to invest into the X-Men.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

Bendis: better Jean, character less OOC, more engaging story

Even Mariah Carey is a better X-Men writer than Bendis and she has never written any issues.

    This, especially the OOC.
His current run is just an extended Elseworlds story where Moira, one of the best human supporting characters in the X-franchise suddenly becomes a mutant, the heroes have turned their backs on everything they’ve ever believed, are working w. genocidal villains, and started a cult.

    Agree with that.

Bendis did some good stuff with the O5 and esp. Jean.
After first hearing about the O5 coming to the present I was sceptical at least, but he surprised me.

And his Uncanny run was good too. For bringing Magik back to the front alone it would be that but he had some other stuff like his writing of older Cyclops that made me like it.

    +1

I acknowledge that Hickman is a much better writer technically. His work is deeper, and has more gravity. Bendis’a read more like teen reality tv.

That being said I must also admit I was way more invested in bendis’s work than Hickman’s. I guess when it comes
To comics I’m not looking for something as deep as other forms of fiction, and honestly I’ve just been skimming through dawn of x. With Bendis I was on the Marvel App every Wednesday as soon as it became available.

I’m ashamed to admit it but it’s the truth
