That's just bad luck. She was due to get one in the 70s, but then the Implosion happened.

Mostly it's a case of the characters I like not getting solos (like Vixen or Black Canary), but there are a few characters that just had series at times when I wasn't as into comics, or focused on other books, and now I'm playing catch-up, like early Superboy (Conner), Booster Gold, Nightwing, etc. (And sometimes, in the case of Nightwing, in particular, I find myself liking the character on teams, but his solo books, not so much. I suspect the same would be true of Booster Gold, since a lot of the fun of the character is how others react to him / play off of him.)

it's been almost 50 years since the 70s, is that really bad luck? the inarguably most popular black female character, and your most popular African character, yet they can't get a solo in nearly half a century because bad luck? nah, that's incompetence.

THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

What do you like him from? (Just curious) You should try to find the "Orion" series by Walt Simonson though - it's really good.

Forgot to mention Zatanna, never read any of her mini's either. I bought one on comixology a couple of years back but it's stuck in my infinite backlog.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
    DC: Currently figuring that out
    Marvel: Read above
    Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8

Any Legionnaire. Karate Kid, Valor, the many mini-series/one-shots various characters have had over the years — no interest. Love me some Legion, but I’m apparently only a fan when there’s, like, 30 of them hanging around.

Yes. Especially considering that has been his best showcasing in recent years - IMO.

If you can, get your hands on Chuck Dixon's Nightwing. Was Vol. 2, 1996-2005.

    Arguably the definitive Nightwing run.
