Default If you imposed body cams on superheroes, who would look best?

Superheroes have to do some intense stuff. If they had publicly available body cams, with no other context, who would look good?

Black Canary knows who she'd watch

As fast as Flash moves, would you even be able to see anything?

Superman and Wonder Woman would probably come out looking pretty okay.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if Power Rings secretly record whatever the GL's do so the Guardians can review it.

it would be a poor idea. Superheroes aren't cops, they're typically vigilantes and therefore still private citizens. some are sanctioned by the government but most aren't. it's a slippery slope tracking cameras on these individuals, plus most have secret identities and/or operate out of secret bases, a body cam would be a liability.

then there is the metatextual reading of the move, which I feel conflicts with the concept of superheroes.

THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

Superman. There really couldn't be a better answer to the question in terms of who would look better, is there?

I can't think of anyone who would look good unless there's a hero who wraps their enemies in bubblewrap before they beat them down.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
    DC: Currently figuring that out
    Marvel: Read above
    Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8

I agree w. those who think it’s a bad idea.

That said, Nightwing would make it work.

I don't know, but Green Arrow would be going to jail pretty soon for putting arrows through people's arms and legs.

Yeah! Modern superman, otherwise supedickery, being a general bully and propensity to punch things would have the guy loose out

Superheroes aren't law enforcement, they're just people trying to help or adventurers derring-do.

I think it's harmful, narratively, to see them as "authority figures".

I don't know if comic Ollie is as bad about that as the Arrow version. He uses Trick Arrows more.

I'm with you. Frankly, it bugs me how often they don't go after corrupt authority figures. It's the corporate nature of their existence rearing its ugly head.

Superheroes should deal with corruption within their own ranks first.

Very interesting question! I would imagine so.

Point taken, I harken back to the dark days of old. He still puts an arrow through limbs from time to time though....but I hope they completely fade to stun arrows myself.
