Who’s the most powerful hero to never be a member of the JLA or Avengers?

While it feels like every major DC character’s been in the JLA, and every major Marvel character’s been an Avenger...who hasn’t?

I realize this is kind of a loaded question, w. each company’s main teams having multiple satellite teams, but there have got to be SOME powerful heroes who have slipped through the cracks at DC and Marvel.

Guess he’s the only hold out from The Defenders “Big Four”.

How many X-Men and Defenders joined any iteration of Avengers? I know Wolverine, Beast, Hulk, and Doctor Strange became official Avengers, one of them is even a founding member. Who of the Inhumans joined the team? Did Red She-Hulk join as a member?

When it comes to Justice League I don't know many Titans who became members of the adults team.

Maxima was a member of Justice League of America when Superman died.

From what I understand, the classic Justice Society members were all made Honorary JLA members, if you want to count that.

Of course that was a few universal resets ago.

Also, as I previously mentioned Valkyrie (Brunhilde) was a Defender and then (Secret) Avenger.

In addition, Hellcat was an Avenger who later became a Defender.
