Default Who’s the most powerful hero to never be a member of the JLA or Avengers?

While it feels like every major DC character’s been in the JLA, and every major Marvel character’s been an Avenger...who hasn’t?

I realize this is kind of a loaded question, w. each company’s main teams having multiple satellite teams, but there have got to be SOME powerful heroes who have slipped through the cracks at DC and Marvel.

This is a good original idea for a post!

Hmmn. Not sure I know the answer, though.

For Avengers: Adam Warlock? Starhawk? Heralds of Galactus?

For JLA: Lady Quark? Captain Comet? Maxima?

As far as I know Silver Surfer is still not an Avenger. Maybe Drax, too hasn't joined the Avengers.

I was actually thinking/wondering about Silver Surfer.
Guess he’s the only hold out from The Defenders “Big Four”.

Hasn’t Blue Marvel been on a couple of Avengers teams?
Honest question, it’s hard to keep track of all the spin off books.

Yes, I believe so, .......but not 100% sure. That is why I did not list him.

If that's the case, then I stand corrected about Blue Marvel since I don't keep track of spin-off books either.

    None of those are heroes.

Marvel: Damien Hellstrom (Son of Satan)

DC - Alan Scott (Green Lantern)

The Freedom Fighters have never been in the JLA that I know about, but I'm not sure they are all that powerful
