Why hasn’t PowerMan (Victor) and Iron Fist (Pei) teamed up yet?

I’m surprised to find out these two haven’t met yet.

You would think the next generation of PM and IF would highlight a team up.

Of all the young heroes, like the ones associated with Outlawed, I’m surprised at this. Where is Pei during Outlawed?



Even stories taking place in the future show Danielle Cage and Lucy Rand (Danny and Misty’s daughter) team up, and even become lovers!

Good question. Victor is a member of the Champions, and Pei's last appearance was in Contagion last year. I think the big problem is that Iron Fist can't support a regular solo book.

He did, the last book was a full year plus some months. Granted, that was before his Netflix series bombed the whole Defenders line.

Mostly because no editor is interested in enough to pitch it to a writer/artist.

A one-shot could work and if there was a Champions ongoing I'd do it there. Strange Academy could also work as both characters are technically magical so you could just have them attend or transfer in Vic's case.

There IS a Champions ongoing, it's just COVID delayed. Outlawed #1 in March was basically issue 0 of a relaunch, #1 of which should've been on April 8 but will now be in October.

When Champions starts back up...after Outlawed they could do a backdoor pilot for it with a story where they team up.

Mentioned this before in the Iron Fist thread. I'm all about martial arts factions, sects, styles, and schools. These two are basically students of Danny and thus are representatives of the Iron Fist/K'un Lun/School of Thunder style. Would love to see a team up. Victor is still with the Champions and Pei is hanging out with Danny. Her last appearance was in Black Cat #7 where she had some hilarious moments against the Beetle:

Uh. I mean, I know Black Cat became a criminal for awhile, but the lady was best friends with and on a team with Misty and Colleen.

IIRC there was an embargo on using her before the second mini with her was out. And that second mini was delayed, thus Brisson only got to use her in Contagion and not in his Iron Fist run. So there wasn't really many places to team them up. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an attempt at a new Iron Fist series, after he gets some focus in Avengers. So maybe there.
