Default What's the deal with all the plants...?

The Vridai in Strikeforce: fungal shapeshifters who spread like a virus, the more people know about them.
The Cotati in Empyre: Vegetable Aztecs from beyond space and time.
Terra Verde in X-Men: a place the Cotati would have just LOVED until recently...
The Gardener's spore on the moon: a world seed that takes the form of a woman made of plant matter.
Krakoa in the 616: As your average human sees it, a malevolently self-aware island that is home to a race of super-powered racist fascist communists who are always plotting the downfall of all of humanity when not having orgies, eating human babies, or simply mocking God by existing.

Five storylines featuring sentient plant life, plant-based tech, plant-based villains (or perceived villains), or plant-based medicine's and infections.

Why does Marvel hate plants so much?

They can get away with it because they don’t have Swamp Thing or Poison Ivy.

This one is easy. Instead of global warming and mankind killing the planet, it's the planet taking steps to purge the pandemic that is mankind.

If it helps, they do have Man-Slaughter as a newer product of the experiments that gave us Man-Thing in the fist place. He's supposed to come out as part of Weapon Plus, which has been hard at work engineering new anti-mutant human weapons.

I’d rather have plants than symbiotes.

Marvel doesn’t have The Green, but it’s good theyre exploring that area.
And yes I’m always up for a Man-Thing comic be it a special, mini, or ongoing.

Wait till we get Plantized. Where heroes will become plant versions of themselves, and we'll enter the era of "Plant Fatigue"

Plants are an alien concept that comes across as truly alien.

    Sure.

I mean, the bacon I ate this morning was sentient at one point.
