I know that and you missed the point I was making. I was born in South America and have Italian and Spanish as my heritage. One of the posters mentioned that Empath is white since he is Spanish and not latino (not from Latin America) with the implication that Latino =/= white. I was pointing out that even though my ancestry is European (from 2 countries that would be considered to have white populations) I am also both Latino and white, and that being one doesn't preclude you from being the other, the same way that you can be latino and black or latino and Asian (there are large number of people that have those ancestries and are considered Latin Americans as well).

I keep returning to Nanny's origin story and how her "villainy" was in large part due to her losing her mind when locked in her suit while trying to help mutantkind. And we know next to nothing about Orphan Maker/Peter. I think they both have potential for interesting stories.

nanny was introduced at the peak of the simonsons' run and. it. shows. the ironic stannery is at this point 100% genuine for me

this was so good. Great moments from the characters. I guess this is now my favorite book so far. So twisted and messed up. Love it. The art is amazing, Nanny is super funny. Hellion is "insuportable". Maddie is crazy and dangerous. Alex is fu#@$d! Wild Child is super scary. Kwannon fits right in as the cold leader of a team of maniacs.

I still want Kwannon to get her own costume and codename but man this book is fun. Nanny, hilarious. I love it.
