    Default Favorite live action mooch

These are the characters who seem to live off the other characters in a show. They do little to no work, but always seem to be okay, prob. cuz they’re always eating everyone else’s food and having everything paid for.

I know there must be others but the two that made me think of this are:

    Cosmo Kramer.
He’s gotta be the king of this trope. No job, but continually falls ass backwards into money, and seemingly eats 90% of his meals out of Jerry’s fridge. How’s he pay his rent? Easy. He owns his apartment, bought from Paul Reiser’s Mad About You character for the price of...one cigar.

    Jack McFarland.
This guy is an actor who barely ever seems to act. He’s had multiple odd jobs that seem to last just long enough to get a few laughs out of them. Will Truman feeds him, has bought him clothes, and literally paid for elective surgery on his behalf, his other bestie Karen is obscenely rich so that helps. How he pays the rent I dont recall, but it’s gotta be someone else footing the bill.

Alan Harper from Two And A Half Men, by the end that was the entirety of his character that he mooched first off of his brother and then off of the guy that bought his brothers house...

^^^oh that is a good one.
Even though he had a job it didn’t impact his moochiness, and he got Flanderized all to hell the last few seasons, where his entire motivation was to live in that damned house.

Actually Howard moved in with Howard's mother Debbie. And even after she died he still was living there. When Howard moved into Debbie's house Howard and Bernadette had their own apartment.

Oops - I overlooked that in the title and was looking more at the OP.

Okay, then Norm from Cheers -- didn't they always joke that he *never* pays his tab?

I think several of your 'Howard' names are supposed to be 'Stuart'.

Or maybe Stuart was Howard all along, playing mind games.

Pretty much lives off the family and Gomez's wealth.

When he mistakenly thinks Gomez is broke.

I don’t know about that. They were all privy to the family fortune weren’t they? They all just enjoyed each other’s company.

As far as the TV show specifically (not sure about in other media)
From what I remember there was family money yet Gomez made his outrageous (likely failing upwards) fortune, buying and managing ridiculous properties, speculating, investing among other things. (he was always working the stock market).
Which no he did not consider "work'.
Fester was on a strict allowance, once offended, he tried getting a job selling life insurance.
Which of course he was completley failure at, and only Gomez bought.

    Edit:
LOL just looked, and of course somebody breaks it down and made a video about it -
