On a nitpick continuity note, Thor loses his hammer in this issue and Steve Rogers still has the super-soldier serum. In Captain America #22 Steve Rogers has lost the super-soldier serum, yet Thor still has his hammer. They can't even get this relaunch **** right.

Continuity died a long time ago. I don't think they really care about the details of a relaunch or a major shift. Six months later it'll all revert back to normal anyway.

If that's the case, continuity died... what, when Stan started calling the Hulk Bob Banner? When Fantastic Four, without any mention, suddenly were in New York instead of Central City? When Doc Ock called Spidey Superman?

Maybe Fury recited some Rune spell and stripped Thor of his worthiness.

Or perhaps he simply made him remember something that stripped him of his worthiness (which looks like the case but is extremely silly).

Either way, Fury is supposed to be a good guy, to knowingly strip Thor of his worthiness is a pretty nasty thing to do.

But taking away almost everything from Thor is almost as bad as killing him.
