Default How do people usually watch the Arrowverse shows?

There are many guides on the internet about the correct order for watching the Arrowverse:

    http://www.operationbrainleak.com/ch...viewing-order/
    https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-co...-and-Supergirl
    https://www.quora.com/How-should-I-s...-stories-clear
    https://www.geekyregards.com/p/arrow...ing-order.html
    https://mythbank.com/the-arrowverse-...r&per_page=100
    https://www.reddit.com/r/DCTV/commen...all_the_shows/
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Arrowverse/wiki/watch-guide
    https://m.imdb.com/list/ls074499769/
    https://flash-arrow-order.herokuapp.com/
    https://entreterse.com.br/en/check-t...c-series-3220/
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...6_5g/htmlview#

All of them say you're supposed to watch episodes of Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl interspersed with one another. So if I buy these shows on Blu-ray (I would have to in order to get the deleted scenes), I'll have to keep swapping out discs from my Blu-ray player after every single episode in order to keep watching the shows in the right order. Seems like a really complicated and unappealing way of watching some TV shows. Is that really how most people watch the Arrowverse shows or is it just the really obsessed people who watch it like that? Is there a simpler way?

Just watch whatever show interests you. Knowing what happens in the other shows only really matter in the crossover events where things from the individual shows bleed into the plot.

^What he said.^ I've been catching up on The Flash (I dropped it early in the second season in original run). I hunted up the episodes of Arrow, LoT, and Supergirl that I needed for the "Invasion" crossover. I didn't have everything down for the three I'm not watching, but I didn't feel overly lost.

Speaking only for myself, I tend to check the order in which the season's crossover episodes will air. So, let's say Supergirl is the first episode of the crossover, then the Flash then Arrow.

I might watch the first episode of Supergirl, then the first episode of the Flash then Arrow. Then proceed to the second episodes, etc.

Or, I might watch all of Supergirl up to the crossover, then the Flash, then Arrow. Then watch the crossover. Then the rest of Supergirl, then Flash and then Arrow.

I might then watch Legends since they tend to be outside some crossovers.

Right now, since Arrow is over, I'm rewatching the whole series.

In general, if you've never watched a show or shows before, I'm a proponent of watching them in the order they aired because that's probably the order in which they were meant to be viewed.

For example, do not listen to these people (even George Lucas) who say to watch Star Wars in numerical order. Dramatically, 4, 5 and 6 should be watched, then 1, 2 and 3 then 7, 8 and 9 with any other Star Wars stuff watched in the order it was released.
    Power with Girl is better.

Well, for Invasion!, you really didn't need to know what was going on in Supergirl at the time. Even Barry and Cisco recruiting her at the end of the Supergirl episode before Invasion was shown again in the crossover itself.

This sounds like the best idea.

It only becomes an issue when crossovers happen. Otherwise, I just watch each episode on the night it airs, when it airs. Because I cannot stand it, I almost never watch Legends.

For crossovers, there's usually an intro story before it starts, and the individual episodes are easy to spot.

I still can't get into Arrow. I'm on my 4th attempt.

    I love the rest, though.

I usually watch in release order by season and stop at crossovers to look it up. But the recaps are definitely enough to where I've never watched Arrow and still been fine.

Like the MCU, the crossovers reward the longtime viewers but are accessible to anyone.

They are all on Netflix and it would be much cheaper to watch them there than buy them all. Much easier to jump from show to show as well.

That's what I do. Netflix makes it much easier.
