Oh sweetie, I'm not arguing with you. It's more like subtle mocking.

Anyone who says they'd rather read a book about the bore 5 than Apocalypse is lying.

Certainly not during Claremont’s years. The only “villains” in X-teams were “reformed villains” (Rogue, Magneto…).

Magneto is a big subject of dispute in these convos.

Well the only villain stuff Selene's been up to is annoying Captain America. Seriously... most one sided fight EVER! She nailed him with one energy blast then walked off while he lay on the floor.

As for WHY.... She told Strucker that she wasn't working FOR the Power Elite, but that they were doing something for her.... we don't know what. As she put it... "I'm a god. I don't work for mortals, they work for me."

It kinda amuses me just how low-key her attire is in Captain America.

Magneto and Apocalypse just decided not to respond to an assassination attempt.

Just how much more "Reformed..." are they going to have to get?

Which doesn't really have a whole lot to do with anything.

Everyone is aware of that fact. That it is a fact does nothing to change the fact that it is a non-issue in the current status quo.

A former enemy who has not made any attempts on anyone's lives is not an issue when you are living in a world where humanity has already made multiple attempts on mutant lives. Never mind that they tortured Domino during one of those attempts.

Seems kinda like a double standard there. Some humans have tried to kill mutants so all humans are looked at as the enemy.
One particular mutant has killed a bunch of mutants, but not latley, so they get a free pass.

I'm wondering if people would be be okay letting Bolivar Trask and Cameron Hodge walk around freely as long as they hadn't killed anyone this week.

Technically, Bolivar regretted his actions right before he died. Also, two of his children ended up being mutants.

It's worse than that. Mutants who tried to genocide the entire human race, like Apocalypse, get a free pass since non-mutant lives aren't valued, which is why they fit in so smugly there. That's what Apocalypse was feeling thousands of years ago, the X-men are just catching up. Thats why he's so proud of them. In Krakoa every "sin" they committed is erased and if anyone else has a problem Krakao will protect them from reprisals. It's "F--- you, got mine" philosophy and Krakoa's even got the bread and circuses down a science. Hickman made the X-men conservatives and many X-fans bought into it without blinking.

People forget characters like Apocalypse, Selene and Sinister aren't on any side except their own. They'll sell Krakoa down the river the second they think it hurts their agenda.

No. They're human, their bad deeds "count." But not the man who reversed the poles and would have killed thousands of mutants who were on planes, have pacemakers, in surgeries. He gets to be Krakoa's unofficial vice president.

It's OK, just breathe. It's fiction.
There would be no fun if Apoc and Sinister weren't going to betray the mutants. We know it's coming and we're all very excited for the ride and the story coming.
Sweetie, this era just isn't for you, it's clearly causing you stress, just walk away and come back when someone boring comes in or read your back issues of Extraordinary X-Men or something.

Only if you want to ignore what is actually happening in the books.

Since the nation formed, one mutant(who had been dealt with...) has killed humans.

On the other hand? Multiple attempts on mutant lives and a mutant tortured in an attempt to facilitate one of those attempts.

Nothing like a double standard anywhere to be seen.

Again, anyone actually discussing what is really going on in the books know that is not the case.

Past that, it is pretty silly to try to paint a group that it actually attempting to reform folks as "Conservatives..."

That sort of thing is why this bit doesn't get taken all that seriously by folks discussing what is actually going on it the books.

Isn’t interesting that people are more thrilled by the villains than the rest? It looks that it is really specific to this run… The “good people” are almost inexistant.

Got to politely disagree a bit there.

If folks haven't seen how excited readers were about things like Forge coming back? Might be because they weren't really taking a hard look.
