Same reason why Gladiator was considered to be a "diet pc superman". KC Supes is the closest thing here to Gladiators physical abilities yet still greatly falls short against a guy who can shatter a planet with a few strikes and only gets a minor concussion from a contained attack stated to have the destructive output capable of destroying most of a solar system.

Even without that, anyone so clearly above post crisis Superman is at least as strong as Gladiator

The solar system buster stuff doesnt really match up even with Gladiator's other feats like the heat inside a star becoming unbearable or not even one shotting the planet and for that matter kinda happens off panel.

Kingdom Come Superman being so far beyond post crisis Supes sets him competitively just fine.

And in a speed equalized fight, everybody with esoterics can counter everyone else's esoterics.

post crisis Supes is within Jay's speed range. When KC Supes is that much faster than Jay, it gives a strong weight to his observations.

When Jay can't even see KC Supes past a certain point or catch up to him at all, sure, why not?

KC Supes barely exists, we have almost nothing to go on but primarily the things he did to other people and comparative showings and such.
