He was a MA expert and had a wise old mentor from what I recall.
He looked like he was gonna face both normal bad guys and super humans, corrupt govt. types, along w. a Hand-like Ninja clan thrown in. I was pretty disappointed it never got to see print.
Thanks! It does sound interesting. Shame it never got produced.

Like K7P5V and Ash Ketchum’s cap, Will Smith’s beanie in Hancock had a trademark logo, the eagle in his case.
Even after he sobered up and got a more traditional costume, the eagle logo transferred over, not as a chest emblem, but back piece!

Not many heroes have distinctive back pieces! Spider-man, Superman if you count his cape...who else?

Starhawk has his golden solar wings on his back (but he is a Marvel character). Do not know of anyone else.

Just a few other characters I thought of today:

    Mork from Ork (Robin Willliams)

    Electra Woman (Deidre Hall)

    Dyna Girl (Judy Strangis)

I liked the updated versions of the Electra Woman & Dyna Girl insignia.

He actually didn't change all that much.

But now I wish they had made his younger self look like that in the time travel episodes.

I have never run across a meaning for it!
My head canon has it as a two handed torch designed to be carried by two people as the wearer of the suit needs a companion.

I have the first and only issue of the book, where he looked like this...

...I really dig the oversized chest emblem and lightning fist.

I’ve Googled the character many times to see if anything new were happening w. him, and at some point he was redesigned to look like this...

...again, the lightning fist works for me. Smaller yeah, but it goes w. the costume design really well.
    Those are badass!

Also it's more of a patch, but the Hellboy logo
