These days, it sometimes seems that you can't find a streaming service or network that doesn't have an offering from The Big Two, or one of the larger independents. Once upon a time, that was most definitely not the case. Every now and then, Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman would get an outing, but it was rare. Which is not to say there weren't Superhero shows out there, it's just they didn't follow a lot of the superhero conventions, and the definitely did not use comic characters, which were largely regarded as kid stuff at the time.

So this is the place to celebrate those early superhero pioneers from the noncomic sources.

My personal example is The Six Million Dollar Man.
