When you start saying things like "she doesn't have their phenotype" then go off and call her black when she doesn't even have black features, I sense trolling.
She does not have the average race type look as the those native americans i have shown.
Even the pic you keep showing shows a black or brown race types and does not look anything look those Brazilian native americans at all.
    You are the one trolling.

And stop using outdated anthropology categories like "Mongoloid". If you have to use old race science to prove something it's not worth it.
    You are not Paying attention.
I have use the word Asiatic because that is what most native americans racially are.
    That is a fact.
Mongoloid is a outdated word to a point but it is a word to describe east asian origin type features but Asiatic is a updated word.
The definition has not change even if the word maybe is outdated.
Asiatic is just a updated word and the definition is the same.

Yara has brown skin, dark straight hair and almond eyes. Sounds indienous to me.
So do some latinos, blacks and east asians for examples.
Most native americans do not have brown skin.
Most in north america are light skin and some are brown skin in south america.
Native americans vary in eyes too.
You have be clear on the race of native americans you talking about and Brazilian wonder woman does not look like the average native american.
Native americans come in all races but most racially in north america and south america are east asian in origin and most have asian type features that vary and varied skin tones as well.

So saying she is clearly native american and in looks is false/incorrect.

Trinary is a black indian mutant.
Her skin tone is brown and she from india and has straight hair by the way.

    https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Trinary_(Earth-616)
Is Trinary a native american and racially does she looks like those Brazilian indians i posted?
    No.

If dc never said she was from the amazon and they only said she is from Brazil you would have never said she was native american.
You would think she was a black latino or brown latino depending on the art shown so far and you know it.
    So stop playing games.

    She looks black here.
Racially does not look like any of those Brazilian native americans i have posted.
Those Brazilian native americans i have posted have Asiatic racially features.
In the pics above she does not have any of that.
No pic has shown her with those features so far.
Now down the road that may happen but so far, none.

The one with superman she look more brown maybe black but racially more brown i think.
Anyway she could still be latino or both native american and latino like silverclaw at marvel.

I LOVE him, but does he fit into this category? Are all Mexicans or Mexican-Americans assumed to be of mixed race?

There’s a saying in Mexico “We are all Mestizos” and Mexico has basically built its national identity on the idea of a mixture of Meso-Americans (Aztec mostly but also Mayan and Zapotec/Toltec) and Europeans (Spanish mostly). Native culture runs deep in Mexico as does the bloodlines. Given Rafael’s appearance and him being Mexican it’s safe to assume he has Native ancestry as well.

Many of the Latino characters DC introduces tend to be of the Indigenous/Mestizo variety

I read that the government of mexico years ago(talking about our real world and our universe of course) said they are all Mestizos but that was to try to unify the country.
Most mexicans in mexico are Mestizos but some are not.

I almost forgot to say that most Mexican Americans identify as White.
It is officially from the the u.s census from 2010.

In comics like dc,marvel etc.. most do not identify as white.
It's a different story in those universes for example.

Yara Flor looks like an awesome new character! I’m glad she’s a Native character as DC was lacking a bit in that regard (though Jaime, Jessica and Dawnstar are awesome characters). Hopefully Yara sticks around and gets her own book too.

Yara is an Indigenous/First Nations/Native American woman. One of her creators just confirmed that her look is based on Suyane Moreira, so we can stop debating about what race she’s intended to be.

Well hopefully she start looking like Brazil natives and Suyane Moreira racially in the future in her own comics because the art does not look her except sometimes almost simarlier skin tone.
She could still be brown or black and native american but racially so far she does not look like Suyane.
The eye shape look different for example and the face structure.
    In other words the phenotype.
Maybe that will change in the future and folks on the internet will stop calling Yara brown or black.
In the pic above i think the eyes look blue.

And do you see blue eyes in literally any other drawing? This is the same company that gives Lois lane purple eyes sometimes, different artist are inconsistent with each other.

What matters is that she was conceived and originally drawn as an indigenous woman from a society of Amazons that live hidden in the Amazon rainforest

The eye thing is more of a nit pick to make another point but hopefully they the get facial features correct in the future and stay more consistent or consistent with it.
The skin tone is lighter too so just wanted to point that out.
Just go the frenzy thread in the x-men forum because she was shown to be lighter in a new upcoming x -men comic in the first art shown and some folks are upset about that.

Hopefully not another sunspot and monet situation like you see on x-forum threads and folks going back forth like they are doing with monet and sunspot.

I am changing my answer/view from above.

Looking back on this and recently looking at the art carefully and looking at some more art i am not clear if most native americans at marvel and dc are Asiatic or brown or most are drawn asiatic or most are drawn brown looking.
The art is not as consistent as it should be for some as well.
It could go either way i think because there is large enough number not drawn to look asiatic.
I thought about this before but i forgot about this until recently.

I need to think about it some more and look at more art.

In real life most are asiatic looking/asiatic however.

Edited view above on native americans at marvel and dc.

    Getting back to this.
    Afro Latino: Cisco Ramon (?)
    Cisco is brown.
On the flash tv show he is Native American/Mestizo latino and in comics too.
His background by the way looking him up is American (Puerto Rican)/Colombian.

Probably a toss up between Jaime Reyes and Jessica Cruz so far. Dawnstar hasn’t been written well in a while and the rest are after thoughts unfortunately. I hope Yara Flor leaves a mark and is well written, guess time will tell!
