Default Easiest continuation of Films and TV shows to ignore as Un-Canon

Star Wars: sequel trilogy. The sequel trilogy did not add anything to the saga. You can leave things ending with Return of the Jedi and would loose nothing.Nothing at all.

Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

Superman 3 and 4. Both movies are so erased that Superman Returns called itself a sequel to Superman 2

Dragon Ball GT. I never felt Dragon Ball Super ever met the greatness of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, but I will take Super as an apology for GT that is very not canon.

    X-Men Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix.

    Bring it on Sequels.

The Lion King: Simba's Pride and Lion King 1/2

Aladdin: Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves

Every Terminator film James Cameron never directed.

Any sequel in existence that you don't like seems to be the consensus here.

They are the popular ones. There could be more I can't remember. Many Japanese amines go on forever with 400 episodes. I am sure fans drew the line at some point.

Yu Gi Oh was another one. I knew some amine fans that quit Yu Gi Oh before it officially ended. lol.

That's not so much actively ignoring continuations as it is just growing tired of a show. Different.

It was more than that, the show got a brand new cast without any of the former characters.

Like Zexal or whatever? I'd still put those kind of sequel series in a different camp than most sequel movies.

Speaking of, HIGHLANDER 2. Pretty sure that’d be unanimous.

I liked Highlander 2. Had the Mongol villain and the adopted son right?

I think that I've only watched SUPERMAN III once all the way through. Still, the casting of Annette O'Toole as grown-up Lana Lang is so perfect, that needs to stay.

The original Star Wars trilogy is all you really need.

The Wim Wenders' movie WINGS OF DESIRE (DER HIMMEL ÜBER BERLIN) is so perfect, you would think that any sequel by the same director would have to be nearly as good--given it features some of the same actors in the same roles (Bruno Ganz and Peter Falk in particular). But DON'T make the mistake of watching the sequel FARAWAY, SO CLOSE! (IN WEITER FERNE, SO NAH!). Please, by all that is holy, resist any desire to watch this movie. It is not worth it. I did watch it once, many years ago, and I rue the day. I can never get back my innocence. Would that I had kept my perfect memory of WINGS OF DESIRE. I cannot overstate this. Never see that damned sequel. Never!

STAYIN' ALIVE is a sequel to SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER and GREASE 2 is a sequel to GREASE. But you don't need to see either movie--you might want to for a laugh, but they're both unnecessary.

What you do with a sequel that introduced elements to a series that make it impossible to ignore? For the Star Wars fan who hated the prequel trilogy how you ignore things like Midi-chlorians and all the things that turned Anakin into Vader?

How about Planet of the Apes? I'm sure most would bury the sequels but much of the reboot trilogy largely draws from Escape, Conquest and Battle.
