    Default Best Endings?

So naturally, comics such as Marvel Comics don’t ever really have endings. So let’s bring it down to “runs” or just even stories.

What are some of the best endings you have read?

Please debate, share and discuss. I strongly believe endings make a good run so am interested if there’s any you guys know of that I’ve not read.

The end of the Alan Davis run on Excalibur is an all-time favorite...

The entirety of Uncanny X-Force #35 remains to be one of my favourite last issues to any run ever.
The last panel in particular really stayed with me when I finished it earlier this year
    Such a beautiful book.

Also, the end of Chip Zdarsky's Spectacular Spider-Man was also nice and heartfelt.

I will also be one of those weird People who admit they liked the last arc in Morrion's New X-Men, but not so much the last panel.

Secret Wars by Hickman is a perfect ending for the entirety of Ultimate Marvel and 616 Marvel up to that point.

I love that issue. Finale is flawess.

I’ll second that. Life-Story had a nice ending too. Peters “happy dream” where he finally realises he has done enough was a nice touch.

This one is pretty easy for me and probably one of my favorite panels in all of comics.

Can't find a good scan of it, but Jenkins & Lee's Sentry - the original "hoax" series.

    "Chilli Dog..."

Left the ending wonderfully ambiguous, and really, should have left the character there.

The end of Bendis's first New Avengers run, where they're all walking through the park, is perfect.

Here Comes Tomorrow is an absolutely epic ending to a great X-Men run. Supremely satisfying.

-Pav, who shed tears for Rover...
You were Spider-Man then. You and Peter had agreed on it. But he came back right when you started feeling comfortable.
You know what it means when he comes back

"You're not the better one, Peter. You're just older."

This was also a great ending because it really showed that these heroes are people as well and that happy endings are possible.

This one was bitter sweet for me because of what just happened in the previous arc; but great send off to the Morrison era
