Here was the second one. Patrick swayze returned in a side role but was not playing the same role as the first film. (what?)
Hmmm... from the looks of it, it sounds like they just retold the EXACT same story only in Cuba.
Maybe that's their formula. The next one can be about them telling the exact same story in Brazi or Spain or Tokyo. Lots of counties in the world potentially means lots of sequals where they can stick baby in the corner in
Link doesn't work.
Only thing I could find was a 2010 parody from Funny or Die called "Dirty Dancing 3: Capoeira Nights" with Camilla Belle & Jesse Williams, and a blurb about how Jennifer Grey is interested in starring in and producing a real part 3. Though interestingly enough its only ever referred to as a sequel to the first movie, with Havana Nights relegated to "poorly received prequel of sorts" to simply a "project".
Dirty Dancing Remake yes. Dirty Dancing III, no.
So exactly how does this work? The original is set in 1963 and Baby (Jennifer Grey) is supposed to be 18 years old. She was played by then 27 year old Jennifer Grey. A little iffy on the age plausibility but its fairly normal for 20 somethings to play late teens so not really out of the norm. The new movie will be set in 1993 which would make Baby 48 years old. Grey is currently 60 years old and while she looks fabulous for 60 she is still obviously that age and its utterly implausible as a 48 year old. Its gonna take a lot of makeup and filters to get Grey to pass as 48. Why not set it 40 years later?
can we just combine all the 80s dance movie into 1 , dirty dancing , flashdance and foot loose.
Baby returns for dirty dancing 3. Just don't put baby in a corner!
