Man, i keep forgetting video games.

Well then i'm going to add Aya Brea from Parasite Eve, who survived a hell lot of gross things and i also really liked Amanda from Alien Isolation.

For the Friday the 13th series, my favorite final girl was Ginny, played by Amy Steel, in Part 2. She was the first to survive Jason, and I think she had a bit more grit than the other finals. The shot of her on the bed holding the pitchfork at the end is still memorable to me. She had a look of determination and was ready to face Jason again. Of course, he tricked her by coming in through the back window, but Jason's a clever one. I didn't really see that kind of resolve from the other finals -- maybe Tina from Part 7, but she had telekinesis.

I liked Alice in Friday Part 1, but she was a little too similar to Jamie Lee Curtis's Laurie Strode, by design, I'm sure. However, I give bonus points to Alice because she actually killed Jason's mother whereas Laurie Strode had to be rescued at the end by Dr. Loomis who shot Michael off the balcony.

If TV counts, then some I really like are The Winchesters (Supernatural), Daryl Dixon (The Walking Dead), Phoebe Halliwell (Charmed), Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and throw in the movie on that one too.

I always liked Sidney Prescott as a final girl in the Scream series. Even though she needed to be saved sometimes, she always fought back against the killers with a fierceness.

Otherwise I agree with some already mentioned in the thread (Buffy, Angel, Nancy Thompson, Ripley, Ash, Laurie Strode...)
