    It's kinda late isn't it?

The whole 'look how gritty comics are now' shtick has been done to death, really.
We get it! Comics aren't for kids anymore.

I really miss when the comic industry wasn't so meta and self-aware.

But this is only true in the USA! Kids comics are still sold around the world as far as I know.

    Great!
Now we have to endure more of it until they can totally eradicate kids reading comics in every country...

Geez the negativity here. They don't need to do anything to eradicate the kids market really, we could just spread this attitude around and do it for them.

There are comics for kids. Harley Quinn Breaking Glass, Batman Overdrive, Superman Smashes the Klan, Lois Lane and the Friendship Challenge, the Scooby Doo team up comics, etc. You think just because the comics you read aren't kid friendly they're actively against the kid market? They're actually finally investing in it for the first time in years. Maybe you should read some of those titles, because what you are reading now is obviously not leaving you happy.

I really recommend Superman Smashes the Klan.

    I actually recommend Future Quest.

I'd probably say that anything by Jeff Parker would be recommended, really.

Ah, non-DC, but still WB. Cool. I remember watching some Johnny Quest back in the 90s.

    Oh it's Metal

    Okay this is funny

It kinda reminds me of that time Morrison killed the Little League in Multiversity or whatever it's called... the universe with tiny everything where no one knows death and the shooting of the Waynes is replaced with them just being shoved to the pavement... they League supposedly actually dead now, killed by an invader from an alternate universe, with the exception of Little Batman Dick Grayson, but I didn't read how the story end.

Idk if anyone remembers that story, point is, this too, shall be forgotten

I liked the '90s Jonny Quest.
As I've gotten older, I've become more of a fan of the original '60s show, though.

I've also recently become a fan of the Thunderbirds, which shares a lot of the same vibe.

There are comics like that, that aren't either super-saturated and dumbed down for 'those' kids or hyper-adultified for 'us' adults.
But it's getting real hard to find them.

I don't know, I'm only now getting into kids comics, and what I've read has been pretty good so far.

I guess Glen Close and Elmer Fudd could join A.C.R.O.S.T.I.C.

These would be perfect for the general market. This might be the direction for DC Comics to go.
