Default What is the Resurrection Hierachy?

So the current goal is to bring back every dead mutant which at the current rate would take over a decade. What complicates things is that people die on a regular basis so there is an ever evolving queue. Who gets to skip that and what determines it?

I think its safe to say that Omegas and QC members have top priority. Thats the only way to justify Quentin constantly being brought back.

I would imagine those that go through the Crucible bc of the sacrifice they make. It would suck to go through that and then be put on the backburner for resurrection

Others that seemingly get to skip are those with close relationships to the living. Shaw made a special request for Shinobi and Skin and presumably Petra and Sway were brought back for the mental stability of Synch and Vulcan respectively. Aurora will bc Northstar requested hers.

What about people that die in battle? Everyone that died on the Orchis mission were immediately brought back but they went on that knowing they would die so it could be a special case. Domino also died while undercover for Krakoa and she was brought back.

Cecilia Reyes just died; does she get to skip the line as well because she's Krakoa's top medical doctor?

What about the Morlocks? They presumably were killed by Scalphunter in self defense. Do they have no priority because they instigated their own deaths?

Then there's the Hellions, particularly Wildchild, whom was murdered on the first mission. What would even be the argument to bring him back right away?

I don't think they have been explained yet. But yeah my best guess is that QC-members have first priority, then probably the captains and people with other high ranking positions, which are important, like Sage, Cypher, Black Tom, Cecilia Reyes and so.

Of course X-Men follow shortly after that, then current team members, young X-Men and finally the rest.

But the rules, nope, no idea as well.

This has not been confirmed, but in a way, it would make sense to give priority to the people who died after the creation of Krakoland.

Sure, there are people who have been dead way longer and an argument could be made that they should be brought back first. But quickly and systematically resurrecting any Krakoa citizen who gets killed sends the message that it's no use to kill them.

The top priority is probably QC, Omegas and Captains. They are the island's power and leadership structure. Also people like Cypher, Sage or Black Tom Cassidy.

Crucible would go after them as they have earned it.

Mutants who die violently and are already alive have a lower priority but shouldn't wait long either, like Cecilia Reyes or the Morlocks. Mutants that serve as psychological support to essential mutants for Krakoa also have to have a certain kind of priority (Sway and Petra were resurrected to support Vulcan, Skin was resurrected to support Synch)

After that I suppose there are personal requests, like "My brother died four years ago, please resuscitate him".

And after that, all the people who are neither seen as especially needed by the government nor have anyone advocating for them.

    Xavier (and maybe Magneto)
    the rest of the QC
    Omegas
    The generals
    X-Force
    The crucible participants
Anyone who's been on an X-team
    Everyone else.

But they don't want anyone (the humans) to know they can be resurrected yet. So it'd be more like they don't want anyone to know they died in the first place.

They resurrected Sway and Petra, they were dead for longer than most. Vulcan didn't go through the Resurrection Protocols, so it's not like with Skin where he was resurrected to be an emotional support dog for Synch
(Unless they wanted Sway to be back up for Tempus in the Five and Petra is her emotional support.)

Northstar was able to jump the queue and immediately request Aurora's Resurrection, she didn't die in service of Krakoa and neither of them were part of an active X-Team.

So it looks like if you were ever a member of the X-Men or one of their offshoot teams you get priority Resurrections, and you can submit requests that get closer to the front of the line

It kind of seems like Quinten gets skipped to the front every time.

I'd say Xavier would take precedent over anyone else since he controls the uploading of a personality. Second would be omega's. Then the QC/The 5. Next would be the Captains and X-Force. Then everyone else.
    You brought back Wolverine

Vulcan needs emotional support even though he's not resurrected. And he is one of the most powerful and unstable Omegas so if he says "Hey, resurrect my buddies" they will.

Why should there be a need for a "resurrection hierarchy"? Wouldn't that imply that one mutant is better than another and as such deserves to be resurrected as a priority just because...

Some mutants are better than others. Its not that controversial especially since we know some have priority over others. The entire resurrection process takes 48 hours to complete. Its time consuming and at the current rate will take at least 300 years to bring everyone back. With those stats, the fact is that not everyone will be brought back si a hietarchy makes sense bc there isnt a line based on time of death

I was wondering if the recently dead can somehow be brought back faster - someone dead for several years takes longer to go through the protocols than someone who died this morning. Didn't pretty much the entire suicide team get brought back at once (or at least within a few panels of each other), rather than needing 48 hours each?
