Gerry Duggan writing Deadpool again. If only for one day... everything will be right again.

That little bit of psychic dialogue from OG Cable is highly interesting. It wasn’t in the Extermination #1 issue where that happened, which leads me to believe there’s some reveal coming. Like maybe he didn’t actually die and he and his younger self are in cahoots or something.

This looks great. Glad we're getting into the murder/suicide thing right off the bat.

I went from being annoyed that kid Cable existed. To begrudgingly finding him interesting, and now just unabashedly loving whenever he shows up. This solo has been great so far.

Maybe is going to come full circule? Teen Cable is going to become Old Cable and get gunned down by himself.

So the death would become his own future.

Yes, it begins to seem that we are facing a situation like the O5 in the past. Teen Cable is going to end up becoming Old Cable but he will forget his memories, at least until he comes to a point where they return, perhaps when he finds out that Scott and Jean are his parents.

It is always Esmé, Sophie or Celeste who get a separate role, never Mindee/Irma or Phoebe. Did you guys noticed that as well?
Also Esmé seems to be written really out of character anyways.

Or something totally convoluted that the "real" Cable is badly injured and healing and this version is taking his place for the time being and kills himself without realizing that he's killed himself...leaving the old Cable to return at the end, or something along those lines...

Cable may be, along with Xavier, the X-Men character who has "died" the most times (Although Quentin Quire is rising rapidly)

Yes. That is correct. Cable is now trapped in a loop where he is destined to end his own life. There is one glaringly obvious escape from this loop, however: The Resurrection Protocols now in place on Krakoa. And since that most recent Cable teaser we got had a text box saying “He knew everything” I’m thinking that perhaps the old man (OG Cable) knew what was coming and planned for it. That’s the twist I see coming, and the one I’m hoping for. Cable being a step ahead of everyone like always. Even a step ahead of his younger self.

For sure. Read Spurrier’s X-Force run. Quire has to die a lot more times to catch Nathan. Ha.

Cable playing mind games with a psychic? His dad must be so proud.

    Really looking forward to this.
