Toss up between Colossus and Wonder Man. Sunspot was my favorite growing up but I disliked the power upgrade he received in the late 90s.

Marvel: Daredevil (although also X-Men and New Mutants)
DC: Batman
Pulps: Zorro
I guess I'm a creature of habit, Dark Avenger types seem to work.
Started with the pulps (and the Disney version of Zorro), then discovered comics Batman (the s O'Neill - Addams run) , and finally landed at Marvel where the Miller run on Daredevil became my favorite.
Who I then (with the rest of comic fandom) followed back to DC with Batman Y1 and DKR, which ironically then referenced back to Zorro!
FYI - This thread was started in the DC forums, likely to gage DC fans favorites.
