In the sixties we are told in a letter's column that Betty was a little younger than Peter but had to drop out of school to work.

I kinda always viewed it as Betty was depicted a young woman, while Pete, still an insecure teenager, but nevertheless a boy kid.

And when Ned Leeds started to creep in, Pete witnessing the sight of Betty "seeing" someone more cultured and closer to her age, further insecuring him up, and eventually coming to terms, that he was just a boy, playing boyfriend to a woman.

It didn't. The twins still exist, so Marvel is just doing what it did for a long while with One More Day --- refuse to acknowledge it in hopes the fans will eventually forget about it.

I don't think Blue was saying they had sex; I always took it as, "Oh, she caught him unaware and just made out." Maybe that's naive of me, but I never got the overt impression that Gwen would have done that with Peter. And whether it's in canon...yes? And no? Obviously, the events are jumbled in Peter's memory, so it could go either way.

The way Gwen looked, she was either being a colossal ******* of a tease to Peter or she was ready for sex. A woman just doesn't arrange something like that unless they are taking the next step in the relationship - or unless they have psychological issues.

I honestly still think it could go either way. It's left ambiguous enough that you can say that they had sex and it's just enough to say, maybe they just kissed. The line "all of me" does lean more into the former, but it could also mean something else. Either way, because of the story's ambiguity regarding canon and that "Sins Past" is (unfortunately) canon, then I'm going with they never had sex.
