Why are we getting a solicitation for issue #3 in January if the debut of the book was delayed to that month? Did they change their minds or did someone not get the memo about the date change?

They delay wasn't too big and probably isn't on Gillen's end so they most likely will just keep putting it out like it was and move the dates accordingly. It was only because the gap was so huge and Marvel told the artist/writers to stop working that the they went and resolicited things after the diamond break.
