Sony Universe of Marvel (Spider-Man) Characters Movie Thread

I mean, we got a mix.

Tony started at the beginning, Steve just got started before he got on ice, Thor was immortal but wasn't a "Superhero" yet, Widow and Hawkeye were established secret agents, Banner had been on the run for years, Wanda, Vision, Sam, and Rhodey all started their Superhero careers from the ground up or in sequel movies.

The point was to focus on his beginning more than past movies did which, honestly, seemed fair even if the approach didn't really do much for Spider-Man.

It doesn't fit the character, for a variety of reasons.

Yeah, but we hadn't seen two versions of those characters already

And Idk why Parker Industries doesn't fit.

Would you have liked a take on Peter more like this character?

But why do we have to see Peter in high school again?

I can see Peter not being the CEO type. But I feel he could do more with his scientific knowledge than simply beat up crooks. Maybw seek some upstream solutions.

Or maybe expand his journalistic endeavors?

I've personally never been in love with Peter and science jobs. I like him doing science, but I prefer photography.

I'm not interested in seeing him from the beginning for the 3rd time in a live action movie. I already know his origin. I want an already established MCU Peter Parker. And he can still do photography. But he has all this scientific knowledge and doesn't use it for much of anything beyond the basic superhero stuff. It almost seems like a waste

I'm not saying I didn't either, but I get where they were coming from starting from the beginning.

I just don't think they really handled it as well as they could have.

Ok. I see why they did that, but having a too-young Spider-Man next to the aging Avengers is jarring to me, despite liking Holland's performance and movies way more than the other two, aside from Spider-Man 2. It's the same with Batman and superman. Skip the origins and move on.

It's not all that off from Ultimate Spider-Man in terms of age dynamic, if not that similar in execution.

They did skip the origin though. Which, to be honest, I don't think really worked that much for Holland's Peter.

I might have too, if not for Iron Man.

At least in the first Garfield movie Uncle Ben was still relatively important to Peter.

I know he grew into it, but he didn't start out so much younger than the others.

I don't need to see Uncle Ben repeated a third time. Although I do wish Peter thought up his own missions rather than receiving them from others. That's why I want him to be closer in age to the other Avengers. I feel like Andrew Garfield was the right age
