The thing about Maddie is that she's ... entertainingly evil. Look at her, she's playing an organ while singing her backstory. It's not that she's not evil, it's that it's incredibly fun to see her being evil.

A calmed down Maddie could be fun to stick around, partially as a constant reminder of Scott's past sins, but with Maddie not crazy or a baddie, more in the gray area like on a X-Force team or something like that, not the kill kill type but the black ops type...

I'd love that, and her randomly appearing at the Summer House and no one knows how she got in, wearing the green miniskirt and pretending to be Jean for shits and giggles.

The story is interesting but I wish this X-Men team was not a bunch of villains. I don't think this series will last with the current cast.

It's essentially a mutie version of Ostrander's original Suicide Squad run in the 80s, and it's glorious! Comparisons could also be made to Thunderbolts......Both the 80s Suicide Squad and Thunderbolts had long issue runs, so having the cast consist of mostly villains won't necessarily shorten a title.

Last issue she was pisses the XMen didn’t care about her return. She finally got her revenge on the Marauders too. Not everything she does has to do with Scott. Those first too pages are exposition for fans who don’t know Maddie’s history.

Which is still based on stuff from 35 years ago and tied to the same plot which involved Scott
