I had not previously heard about this event.

It's not really an event, the Tales from the Dark Multiverse line is basically a series of Elseworlds one-shots set around DC events (ex. War of the Gods, Infinite Crisis, Flashpoint, Batman: Knightfall, etc.) - the twist is that since these are set in the Dark Multiverse things always go badly so don't expect a happy ending.

I've heard of this series. That seem to be the trend with Dc these days, stories about destroying people. Can't get into darkness!
