I'm admittedly curious to see what changes/additions will be made to the Eternal mythos. I wonder if they'll finally reveal Ikaris' real name: Daedalus? Also wishing that they'd introduce the myth of Perdix, who according to some accounts, was the highly inventive nephew and top student of Daedalus -- so much so, that Daedalus was so jealous of his ingenuity that he pushed Perdix off a ledge to his doom. Fortunately, the goddess Athena saved the child. Perhaps for Marvel's retelling, Thena could be the one who saved Perdix. Daedalus was banished for his treachery. That would make for an interesting twist in Marvel lore. Maybe the reason why Ikaris assumed his son's name was twofold? One was to honor his fallen son, but the other was to hide his ignominy.

Nah, what am I thinking? That would never happen to Ikaris. He'll be written as the golden boy serving in a long string of Marvel's golden boys.

I have a feeling it’ll be somewhat like Aaron’s Thor God of Thunder run, showing the past, present, and future for the Eternals. I’m okay with that, because I have complete faith in Gillen. I hope we can get someone like Stephanie Hans, or Russell Dauterman on art chores at some point after Ribic leaves. I could go for Pepe Larraz, or Kim Jacinto too.

Considering the changes apparently being made to them that is leading theory I am guessing. I am guess they are going to tweak the mythos so they can reborn to a different form lets them tie into the movie world looks if they want to do that.
