Honestly this show could surprise everyone and be really good or be laughably bad. Right now I have mixed feelings on it and will save my final judgement until I see at a trailer or the pilot episode.

Diablo Cody is writing the pilot at least and Juno had heart and humor.

All 3 actresses have musical backgrounds and/or are currently signed artists.

I guess that answers the music question.

This could be a modern sarcastic sitcom sans laugh track romp a la Batman 1960.

Chloe and Dove are both awesome actresses so happy to see them involved. No idea about the other girl. This could actually be a decent show, depending on who they pick for the wider cast. Still think Victor Garber would be an awesome Professor Utonium. And I want Mojo back and him done right.

I'm not sure if we are getting Mojo but we are apparently getting Mojo Jr. Not even going to try to think about how Mojo Jojo has a son who was around when the girls were kids, but then again unexplained offspring has always been a sticking point with me in all forms of Media.

So Chloe Bennet is playing Blossom. Blossom is half Asian then.

Dove Cameron is Bubbles. Dove herself is bisexual so there’s the possibility Bubbles might be.

Buttercup is played by Yama Perrault. Who I know nothing of the actress. But she is black. (Light skinned)

It should be noted that all three actresses are singers, so it will be interesting if they present this in the show.

I'm not sure how well such a property will translate given the obvious limitations of live-action versus animation, but I'll give it a chance. I'm concerned about PGs unique brand of humor also being lost. We'll see if my concerns are unfounded (or not) soon enough I suppose.
