It's a very massive omnibus.
But for once, it's not an omnibus that collectecs buch of stuff somewhat related.
All its content is part of the core story.
But I see it's missing Secret Six !?
If you're into smaller books, each storyline is available in it's own tpb:
- The O.M.A.C. Project - Countdown to Infinite Crisis, The OMAC Project #1-6 and Wonder Woman #219
- Day of Vengence - Day of Vengence #1-6, Action Comics #826, Adventures of Superman #639, and Superman #216
- Rann-Thanagar War - Rann/Thanagar War #1-6
- Secret Six: Villains United - Villains United #1-6, Secret Six #1-6 and Villains United: Infinite Crisis
- Inifnit Crisis - Infinit Crisis #1-7
To note, that all the storylines are independent and serve as a build-up to Infinit Crisis. So getting them as tpb you won't have to jump back and forth between each tpb.

I think Secret Six was Villains United and then the actual Secret Six series came afterwards.
If I'm reading this properly.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
yeah I see the content, just want to to know worth it for the story and content etc
Yeah Villains united is he start of Secret Six.
Personally I think it's worth it, it's probably one of the most well executed comic book events out there. Also the follow up "52" is great too.
It requires some prior knowledge of the DC universe but you don't need to be a scholar to enjoy it.
If you like the DC flavor you'll probably enjoy this too.
Indeed, I missed a comma.
As for the #1-7, well I don't know, I copied from the DC Website:
INFINITE CRISIS OMNIBUS NEW EDITION
Well you should have read the main previous DC Crisis to read this one:
1. Crisis On Infinit Earths
1b. (DC: Legends)
2. Identity Crisis
Each stories are pretty interresting.
No the best things you'll ever read, but I guess it's a good event.
Art wise, on the other hand, like all the DC Crisis, is not that outstanding.
I bought the Omnibus after reading Identity Crisis TPB. I thought Identity Crisis was outstanding, even though I know it's controversial and many folks dislike it. But I bought the Omni and still haven't read it (no spoilers please, I literally know nothing about it). It looks awesome but it's also a huge, huge Omni, probably very cumbersome to read.
On that topic I also have the Final Crisis Omnibus, which I bought for 25 euros (!!!) on that wacky books discount initiative that Amazon Germany did back in November (Fantastic Four By Waid & Wieringo Omnibus for 19 euros!).
Final Crisis and Infinite Crisis omnis are so massive that I'm not even sure how to read them (I haven't touched them) without "breaking" them.
last big omni I've read (JLI) I've put it on a pillow and just sat on the couch reading it.
Good price on the FC omnibus but IMHO (and I've said this many time but this is the hill I'll die on I guess) you really don't need to read any of the tie ins.
I'm not saying they are bad, but it's such an "auteur" event, I don't think anything matters other than the issues written by Morrison.
