Default Thoughts on X2: X-Men united?

How would you rate X2? Personally it is one of my favorite superhero movies and probably up there as one of the best x men movies. What do you think?

I like it but it should been called "X2: Mutants United" because the X-men are already a team and its X-Men and Magneto who are united to fight Stryker

It was very good for its time, but compared to modern superhero flicks, it was a bit limited.

That said, it has two truly great things in it in my opinion.
1)Nightcrawler rampaging in the white house.

2)There's a scene between Nightcrawler and Mystique when he asks her "Why don't you use your powers to appear like normal people all the time" - to which she answers with a very simple "because we shouldn't have to"
It's a tiny little scene - but it PERFECTLY captures the complexity of the issue, and its important that it comes from one of the villains.

For me it's still one of the best in the genre.... Not as flashy as the Avengers but deeper and sadder.
A picture would last longer darling...

It has the taint of Singer on it. Throw it in the Sun.

It hasn't age that well imo but for its time it was one of the best superhero movies. It still X-men movie that is most close to comics in my opinion. When you see X-men movies these characters that you wanted see with the right importance to the plot.

Probably the best out of all the Fox-Men movies.

What part do you feel has not aged well? Can you clarify? Most comic films now looked aged up to X2. X2 has arguably the best looking cinematography for a marvel film. The story is not fun and games or explosions.

When was the last time you saw a comic film look this good for the present?

X2 was a comic book masterpiece. Nothing has come close since then. Most comic films spend too much time on jokes and looking like live action cartoons. X2 was way above that.

This is the best one for me, everything about it was perfect. Well paced, great moments, nice script. I can see small flaws in Logan and DOFP which i love but this is flawless.

Either the 2nd or 3rd best superhero film of all time. 1) Logan 2) X2 or DoFP. I'd probably five the edge to X2 simply for the school scene.
    You brought back Wolverine

Agreed. And the Nightcrawler opening scene is legendary.

This is my favorite X-Men movie.
The Nightcrawler opening scene was incredible.
Wolverine's berserker rage in the school was done so well.
    Jean's sacrifice was very emotional.
But, my favorites were Magneto and Mystique. Their plan to get him out of jail (and the way he did it) was awesome. And those two were so shady together. Magneto loved his little kiki's with Mystique.
