I think an easy way to look at Thanos stories is that anything written by Jim Starlin, Ron Marz and Keith Giffen is the real Thanos while anything written by other authors should be dismissed as a Thanosi clone.
Going with The Reigning (Thor Vol. 2 #68-74), while it's not particularly high on my list of favorite Thor stories it's infinitely more well thought out and composed than War of the Realms could have ever hoped to be, WotR is an utterly disjointed mess of a story even including all the relevant crossover and tie in books, it reads as rushed and tossed together, and that extends to the artwork, which had some of the sloppiest, most awkward looking Dauterman work I'd seen.
War of the Realms #1-6.
I'll go with Reigning
The Reigning wins 3-1

Death of Odin (Thor Vol. 2 #39-40)
VS
Father Issues (Thor Vol. 3 #7-8)
This round is really close, I love both stories, I will have to think about it.
(Also, Jurgens' page perfectly shows everything wrong with Aaron's Odin)
Father Issues (Thor Vol. 3 #7-8)
Bump, come on guys, we're getting very few votes, tell people about this thread, otherwise I'll have to drop it before it ends.
