Lovecraft Country has been pretty scary so far.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Evil on CBS, is about a priest in training, who recruits a forensic psychologist to help him investigate cases of possible possession in the behalf of the Catholic Church, is really good and scary.

Michael Emerson's most disturbing role yet, and that's saying something.

Have you heard any word on when the new season is starting?

i don't even know if they are started filming , I hope they did, the first season ended so well.

You are right, Michael Emerson is a big part of why this show can be so disturbing and scary.

Tales From The Darkside or at least the opening. Used to scare me when I was a kid. As soon as I heard the music I'd want to run into my room. I decided to brave it and watch some episodes.

Yeah, these were pretty scary but based in "true" stuff, well obviously the crime stuff and non ghost/ufo stuff was really true. I used to watch In Search Of and Sightings too.

To me, that was the most scary and disturbing episode of the entire series.

While the show only lasted one season, there were a few episodes of Kolchak: The Night Stalker that delivered some serious chills, especially the series finale, “The Sentry” (not to be confused with the Marvel Comics character) where Kolchak is chased through a dark and moody underground complex by a murderous, prehistoric lizard creature.

I used to watch that show all the time. Loved the theme song.

Speaking of theme songs.... I swear, 80% of the time when that theme came on, it alone scarred the crap out of me.

Not always, but some of the episodes of the original Outer Limits had me. "Zanti Misfits" freaked me out really good for years. Bugs with human-like faces? WTF?!

IMO, the only series that ever came close to this was Night Gallery.

Otherwise, nothing on TV has even phased me. Pretty sure I'm immune to supernatural fears because I simply can't bring myself to believe. Aliens and sciencey things are another thing. My only truly scary movie experience to this day is Andromeda Strain, because... disease.

My little brother used to be the same way for this and a local Svengoolie-like movie host. He used to peek through the crack in the door by the hinges until the intro ended.

Me too, or just the commercial as I stated earlier. But as I finally saw this series later in life, they weren't really that scary.

Me too! I'd freak out when Banner turns into the Hulk and looked like he was coming after me.
