The previous poll "Friends or Seinfeld" was about which show had the biggest "cultural impact." What are we voting on here - cultural impact again, or which we liked more?
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Whether the question is impact or quality, the winner is Friends.
(But I low-key was not mad at the HIMYM finale. I wanted Ted and Robin to end up together.)
Neither is all that good, both have dated severely, but Friends is maybe more rewatchable even after all these years. The concept of the Neil Patrick Harris show lost novelty, and aside from NPM himself, the rest of the cast sucked.
Agreed.
HiMYM gets points though, for its unique story telling perspective and how they played w. the concept throughout, having Alyson Hannigan in the cast cuz she’s just so darn cute and fun to watch, and Neil Patrick Harris’ over the top breakout character.
It loses most of those points for the sucktacular ending.
Friends.
Like Seinfled the characters of HIMYM don't really develop.
I voted HIMYM. Both started very strong but I liked HIMYM up until the final season, whereas I lost interest in Friends after it started being Friends With Benefits.
