If I'm honest, this whole discussion seems a bit silly to me because the idea of "Blond Romans with blue eyes in the Amazon" is already silly in itself.

A civilization that has not evolved at all in over two thousand years is neither interesting nor beliveable. I think that is why Nicieza tried to do away with it.

Plus I dare say Magma as a mixed roman-incan sort of latina would be more popular than what she is right now. At least the character would make some sort of sense.
Yeah but also it is/was run by Selene who has... interesting ideas.

Of course being the descendant of a union between Selene(one of the whitest people ever) and a Roman kinda means Amara would need a LOT of Incan ancestry to balance it out. But the Xmen-Evolution version actually does look Incan.

Silly beyond all sensibilities. It's as though wokeness leaves absolutely no room for imagination and originality of ideas.

This book is just going down the pecking order, a waste of an issue.

Can't figure out if it's technically anti-colonialism if you're a lost outpost of the OG honky empire.

Do we have confirmation of how many generations back Selene is? If she's an actual Grandmother then the only way would be for one parent to be Incan. If Great-grandmother or further back you have more wiggle room.

She's supposed to be great-great-great-many-many times removed grandmother.

I dont consider that canon as thats something Claremont confirmed in New Mutants Forever. To me knowledge its not something thats been followed up on or confirmed in 616 since he left in the mid 80s

Ehhh, did I get this right, this issue was all about Nova Roma, but Magma was not in it at all, really?
