Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
I'm sure there's a lot going on here but I'm really distracted by Mikhail's ass
Mikhail presents an interesting take, a nationalistic Mutant, which identify himself with his original homeland.
The conflict seems to be escalating.
It would be nice if the comic made a summary of Mikhail because apart from being the older brother of Colossus and Magik and having a certain kind of reality warping I hardly know anything about him.
"But that doesn't mean I can't keep what remains of you for myself"
Now that just gave me some creep rapey(necrophilic?) vibes.
Looks like Quentin is leaving behind a telepathic trail so X-Force can track him. And wow, Mikhail's calf muscle is like the same size as Quentin's head.
Here 'ya go... Mikhail Nikolievitch Rasputin
Of course it's Mikhail. Bruh.

This is the kind of stuff many people brought up at the beginning of Hickman's run. That being a mutant does not necessarily beat out every other thing that makes up an individual. Percy has dropped lots of remarks, typically by Wolverine, that poke at the 'truth' of Hickman's Krakoa, and I don't know if it his little part in the big story to plant these seeds, or just something he is doing to differentiate his books from the others.
I would be surprised if there is not some data page that explains enough, that is what is relevant to what this story actually cares about. Someone gave a link, but my growing impression is that a lot of this stuff is probably better the less you know, or the less you care lol.
I find weird that i just recently read Uncanny 286 to 293 when Mikhail first appeared and now he's back, right in the only team boom outside of Hickman's that i had been following with the proper attention.
Kind of a cool coincidence. Still, hopefully Percy does something good woth him. I wasn't particurlary impressed by his first story.

That sound you hear in the distance isn't thunder, it is Mikhail Rasputin making those cheeks clap.
That page with Quentin being dragged away while trying to telekinetically anchor himself, combined with Mikhail's line, is super creepy.
