Default Do you consider stan lee's superman to be a superman?

If so, would you like such vastly different authorial takes on the character?

I liked the character as its own thing, but it certainly wouldn't scratch my itch if i was in the mood for a Superman story. Lee created an interesting character, but Marvel's Hyperion, Sentry or Gladiator make better Superman stand-ins

I love Stan Lee and do believe he could pull off a good silver age Superman, but Just Imagine was really Just a Pin-up.

    Sure.

The Just Imagine Version’s as much a Superman as the Tangent version...:

^^^not really. I prefer the more traditional interpretation of the character, but it’s (usually) interesting to see how creators rework the Superman mythos.

    Sure.

I don't mind another creator exploring what this superman is like further. Howver I could see other creators just doing their own thing and letting this one remain unexplored.

It could work as an Earth One book or a Black Label story.

My understanding/memory was that there was some kind of contract dispute going on between Lee and Marvel at that time and that's more or less why he did the "Just Imagine" line for DC. I didn't find any of the stories to be particularly interesting, especially his Superman.
