Knowing nothing about the Upside Down Man, what would stop him from being one-shot by Tatsuya via Mist Dispersal?

Assuming that doesn't work, and it's possible for Tatsuya get sufficiently far away, can Upside Down Man tank a magic nuke?

Upsidedown Man was on a deity level. More so than old Gods like Zeus. And came from a "mirror" dimension. If you've ever seen Stranger Things, he comes from a place like that.

That's all well and good, but being a deity or coming from a mirror dimension means less than nothing.

    What is Mist Dispersal doing?

The Upside-Down-Man is the Dark Multiverse counter-part to Hecate, the multiversal embodiment of magic in the DC-verse.

John Constantine tried a magic nuke against the first and much weaker incarnation of the Upside-Down-Man, the latter was not impressed:

Tatsuya can deal with human-level magic users, yes. The Upside Down Man is just on a completely separate level from anything established in An Irregular at Magic High School. I would be like comparing Lucifer Morningstar and Harvey Bullock. Harvey's a good cop, but just WAY over his head there.

Wasn't that fight- the magical nuke feat- at a time when magic was explicitly on the fritz?
Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

Just the magic originating from the Upside-Down-Man himself, the magic Hecate ripped out of the Dark Multiverse, which he wanted back. His throwing a bucket of ocean water into a tsunami statement was not just literal, it goes as far as that the full incarnation of the Upside-Down-Man is one of two existing oceans.

    Oh I've read it.

My point is that he hit him with a spell that ultimately came from the man himself. It's like trying to Power Cosmic Galactus.

I am actually not so sure if that Sigil even involved much of his magic considering that there were no horrific side-effects, besides Constantine screwing himself up due to it being too powerful. And well i don't know Tatsuya Shiba, but throwing a magic nuke at literally sentient multiveral magic sounds like a very hopeless plan either way, it would be a bit like throwing a normal nuke at Captain Atom if Captain Atom would be countless of magnitudes more powerful than he already is.

So it's not much of a feat of durability.
